Hello and welcome to the sale of this VW Polo GTi. As you will have read the car is one of the last 1.8T engines produced, and as such has all common issues from the MK4 Golf 'AGU' eradicated. It features a faster spooling K03-Sport Turbo from factory, with a lot less lag and better pull to higher RPM's. Peak power is capped from factory at 150 horsepower, but you will feel a more excited engine than its predecessors. The Engine Control Unit (ECU) is a much more advanced variant - Bosch ME7 - which is the same protocol found in most Porsche 911 and all Ferrari 360 and F430 cars. It also features a Wideband 02 Sensor from factory, something people who tune cars would normally have to purchase separately. Volkswagen have made a completely tuner 'friendly' car, should the owner wish to follow that route.
I bought this car as Cat-D (paint vandalised) which had been repaired before purchase. I immediately took the car to Ipswich Volkswagen for FULL inspection, and to get the Cambelt and Water Pump Serviced. Every vehicle I buy to sell is taken to the appropriate Main Dealer to make sure the car is mechanically sound. This particular car needed two bulbs and new number plates - they said the car needed nothing else after its service. I have also replaced the battery with a Bosch Silver (four year warranty), had Four Brand New Avon ZV5 Tyres (195/45 V16) fitted, had an Engine Service (Air Filter/Spark Plugs/Oil & Oil Filter) from my private mechanic - receipts for everything included.
I run this car strictly on either Shell V Power Nitro+ or Tesco Momentum 99RON. I am very 'into' the maintenance of my vehicles, and would expect the prospective buyer to do the same. I have tuned the engine for Stage 1 30-35hp and approximately 70-75NM torques. It hasn't been on a Rolling Road but I can get it booked in if anybody was interested in the actual power. It has been set up for 1.2 bar of Boost at around 11.8-11.9 AFR at redline for safety. I can very easily remove the tuning if required -> <- I run my own Tuning/Car Review/Car Testing Business and have a network of 12+ Garages across the UK who pay for my work on their customer vehicles, I also have a personal 'blog' on Facebook and have been doing this since 2005 <- I wouldn't ever sell a defective vehicle and am happy to offer test drives in this car to anybody visiting Lowestoft with a few days notice.
Mileage is currently 60,300 or thereabouts, please be aware it will increase with daily commuting. Have a look through the pics - it isn't a new car so will not be immaculate. Please spare me the ''oh there's a little scratch there'' because I haven't the patience and wont stop to entertain it. If the car doesn't sell I will keep it as a runaround/daily.
