Description
Reluctantly,
due to a change in circumstances, I am selling my Volkswagen Polo 1.4 TDI Sport (75BHP). I have owned this car for the last
year and it has been excellent for my long commute to work and back. The car was first registered on the 30th May 2003 and has 3 previous
owners. The MOT expires on
10th April 2015 and
Tax expires 30th September
2014. My Polo averages
around 60mpg and regularly sees over 500 miles to a tank of diesel. The low tax bracket combined with the
excellent fuel economy really does make this cheap motoring.
The current mileage is 121,500 which may increase slightly as I am still using the car. This is all backed up with an impressive full service history (mostly Volkswagen main dealer) and all the old MOT’s. I have seen numerous ones of these with over 200,000 miles on them so it's got a long way to go yet! The exterior of my Polo is in excellent condition and looks like its done half the mileage. The interior is also in very good condition. Being the ‘Sport’ model, it is equipped with Alloy wheels and slightly more supportive seats. Optional extras which have been fitted are an electric sunroof and 6 Disc CD Changer.
Since owning the car I have replaced whatever is needed regardless of cost. In the last year I have covered 25,000 faultless miles and has never let me down. I gave the car a full service in July 2013 with all the receipts to prove. It also had new front brake pads and discs replaced at the same time. 2 new tyres were also fitted and it was ready for my 100 mile each way daily commute. Out of the 100 miles, 95 of these are motorways and dual-carriage way. Undertaking this kind of mileage, I have always made sure that this Polo is kept in tiptop condition. It has been washed weekly, polished monthly and this shows in the general condition of the car. It doesn’t burn any oil between services or use any water. The mechanical condition of the car is excellent and could easily do another 120,000 miles!! The air conditioning works well and blows nice and cold, useful with the good weather we’ve had recently!
At the end of January this year, I serviced the car again as I had done 15,000 miles since July. It was again serviced with the correct VW grade oil. In March, I fitted another two new tyres due to the tracking being slightly out and also had the alignment sorted at the same time. The front tyres still have lots of tread remaining (circa. 6mm) and the rears have about 3mm. As always, all the receipts from the work I have undertaken are in the service history folder. I have created a folder full of all the old MOT’s and receipts. You can see exactly what has been done to the car and when. if you were to add it all up, it would be i the thousands. In April, new wipers were fitted all round before the MOT.
Like with any second hand car, there are a couple of small niggles, however, they are very small. There are a couple of chips in the front windscreen as it’s the original and covered 120,000 miles. There is a little bit of rust on the front passenger wing which I have covered in some silver metal tape which improves it aesthetically (see last picture). There is also little curbing on a couple of the alloys. All of these defects do not affect the way the car drives. There is nothing to hide on this car and is an honest, genuine, excellent example of a fantastic car. HPI clear and both original keys are included in the sale.
The pictures really do not do this car justice and viewing is strongly recommended.
Any question, please do not hesitate to ask. I am looking for £1850 ono
