Description
This car runs and drives just like a 1982 Rabbit Diesel ! ( Meaning that it is a bit slow, but still kind of fun to drive.)
1.6 liter 4-cylinder diesel, non-turbo. 4-speed manual transmission.
2 new tires on the front, rear tires are fair.
Recently replaced items : front struts and springs, master brake cylinder and vacuum booster, rear brake cylinder, brake shoes, heater fan motor, DieHard battery, alternator, hand brake cables, and muffler.
Originally, it had factory air, but the compressor unit has been removed, so it has no air conditioning.
The headliner has been ripped out - see photos.
The triangle no-draft windows are sealed in place - they no longer open. The main windows crank up and down just fine.
The windshield is cracked - see photos.
The strut towers are still fairly solid, but the body has some rust - see photos.
If the fuel tank is topped off, it will leak from the top of the tank. I have been driving it with just half tank of fuel or below and it doesn't leak. It may need a new tank if you want to be able to fill it full.
Alpine CD stereo (40w x4) Radio works fine, I have not tried the CD player.
If you have any questions, please email through e-bay.
Thanks for looking !
