VW Scirocco TDI, DSG, Huge specification. Pan roof, heated leather.

This is my wife's VW Scirocco, and it's been her pride and joy for a couple of years now.

We searched long and hard to buy the car, as we'd decided that we wanted a silver one with a high level of optional equipment, and I eventually ended up taking a flight down to South Wales to buy it.

The overall condition of the car can only be described as superb. The bodywork is finished in Reflex Silver metallic, and we have always been careful to park the car with consideration, avoiding the usual car park dings. It looks as good as any car half its age. From new, the car had all of its brightwork deleted, instead having the factory "optic pack", with black grille, VW logo, etc. Again, there is no rear badging to signify the model, so the car is often mistaken for the top of the range R model. The black theme also extends to the rear lights which have been upgraded to the latest LED Dectane units. The original rear lights are boxed and come with the car.

Equally, the interior of the car is stunning. From new, it was upgraded to full black leather with sports seats. The seats have electric multi adjustable lumber adjustment, and fitted with the factory winter pack (heated seats and mirrors). The huge glass electric panoramic roof makes the interior light and airy. Almost every available creature comfort is fitted. It has the wide screen factory media system, including Satellite Navigation, touch screen radio / CD / DVD with voice command, auxiliary usb port, factory blue tooth phone system, ice cold air conditioning, remote central locking / alarm with total closure facility, rear parking sensors, one touch electric windows / mirrors, on board computer system, auto dimming rear mirror, ambient footwell lighting, flat bottom sports steering wheel, and so much more.

From a mechanical point of view, the car drives as new. The two litre turbo diesel engine punches out around 140 bhp, but not only does it give fantastic performance, it delivers quite remarkable fuel economy. I know that when I drove the car home to the North East from South Wales, the on board computer recorded almost 63 mpg. The DSG 6 speed automatic gearbox is a delight, and coupled with the ACC facility for Sport or Comfort mode makes driving a real experience.

Probably the most important aspect of the car is its service history. Not only does the car have a fully documented and completely up to date main dealer service history (with stamped service book AND invoices), it is also still under VW's extended warranty scheme which has an option for the new owner to extend. The mileage is just coming up to 74k, so as a precaution at the point of last service, we had the cambelt changed. The car has obviously wanted for nothing, and even today at point of sale, there are absolutely no aspects of the car that need attention.

My wifes new car has arrived, so her Scirocco is available now. It comes with original VW wallet, containing service records, VW invoices, all MOT certificates, drivers handbook, and of course spare key. It is MOT'd until Late November, and ready to drive away. Any inspection or test drive is welcome. Payment can be either in cash or bank transfer.
