Description
Volkswagen Squareback. One of the few VW Squarebacks on the road in very nice (this is not a showcar, and the paint is over 10yrs old).. a very straight rust free body. This is a 3 owner VW, that has been never abused, and maintained. Solid driving Squareback and bone stock, down to the wheels. I have the bumpers, which need re-chromed. All the seats have been stripped and re-upholstered, with new padding. No eminent issues on this wonderful VW with such history and appearance. This VW is 50yrs old, but shows well, but not a fully restored vehicle. So don't expect one. This is a tastefully refurbished Squareback, and still holds its character and age.
One unique aspect on this Vintage VW, is that basically everything is working; These critical (to me) components are still functioning that 90% of old vintage cars do not have working; Speedometer, odometer, clock, lights, wipers, all working, just missing the bartender. Car starts up on first turn of the key, no serious leaks, (has normal seepage and 'sweating', engine runs well, transmission shifts smooth, no growls, no front end clunks or clanks on the bumps. Solid vintage VW Squareback, in fine shape, with minimal tlc, but completely drive-able.
The fuel injection system was removed due to the electronic Bosch ignition box being faulty due to age, and the engine now has up to date DUAL WEBER carburetors, which is much more reliable, and efficient now.
