The beast is up for sale as it is hardly used anymore and a waste to have it sitting in the driveway.
Was originally purchased for camping trips and the odd IKEA/Bunnings supplies trip - the most practical vehicle we've had.
Goodies:
Comes with four heavy duty roof racks, great for tradies,
Dark tinted windows all roundRear step/tow bar (used once to move house with a trailer)17" Italian alloy wheels (forgot the brand name - not your cheap quality wheel - I believe they were based on the Porsche Turbo "Twists" alloy wheels)
Falken Ziex Ze912s extra load rated tyres, a high performance tyre. plenty of tread - load rated tyres are very important!!!
Suspension is also quite new, with shock absorbers and Eibach sports springsSpark plugs, leads and distributor rotor has alsobeen recently replaced to improve starting/ignition. Starts first go !Factory lined cargo spaceCaravelle rear carpeting (ideal for camping but can be removed for transporting cargo if need be)Cargo barrier with clear perspexLess than 145,000kms!
This is the newer face lift version of this shape Transporter with front air bags and blue instrument cluster backlighting - very nice!
Bad points: Gearbox needs attention soon. Drives fine when warmed up, but when cold, it has been starting to slip on 2nd gear and wont reverse until warm. Dings and scratches from previous life as a delivery van, small rust spot under one of the side rear windows (you may be able to see from the pic). Brake indicator is on indicating a brake change soon though seems to work fine. Pretty sure i have the original VW factory brake pads that i can supply if i find it, as well as spare oil and air filters (again if i can find it in the garage). Air con compressor I've been told may need attention as well. Thats all that i can think of at the moment, but please do feel free to inspect. Would do with a good clean and service. Rego expired 30th June 15.
This beast is sold as is, would make an excellent project bus.
This needs to go and is priced to sell.
