1992 Volvo 240 sedan

1992 Volvo 240 sedan showing 236,657 kms. Full service history / log books – it has not missed a scheduled service in twenty-three years! It is in overall very good condition but I will be upfront about things a buyer might want to work on. The radio does not work and the speedo has stopped– I estimated the last service – probably add about 6,000 kms. There is some rust - small patches on the sides of the doors (not visible) and a few minor bits elsewhere, as well as a discoloured patch of duco on the boot lid. No structural rust – it sailed through rego in September. Overall, the car is in very good condition for its age and drives beautifully – in a cruisy manner! New water pump, good tyres and rego to next September. It has had only two owners – my wife bought it from an older couple about ten years ago and we have had it since. Garaged most of the time and serviced by Volvo agents. My mechanic tells me that the key is servicing – these models will “go forever” if properly serviced – he has worked on several over the years still going strong at over 500,000 kms! Reluctant sale, but we have bought, of course, another Volvo. Newcastle pick-up.
If the car looks familiar, it's because I auctioned it a few weeks ago and the winner, from Wollongong failed to even come and look at it - I didn't even get the courtesy of a reply - very unimpressed! Soback on auction!
