Description
Up for sale is my 1982 Volvo 242 GLT. This is a very rare version with the normally aspirated motor. The car is accident and rust free with mostly original paint. The car is very reliable and starts every time first time. I have owned it almost 7 months and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I recently drove it on a 150 mile road trip with zero issues.
It is 100% complete and in very good condition. All lights, turn signals, heater, wipers, stereo, windows, and sunroof work properly. The upholstery is in very nice condition except for some wear on the driver's seat. I have purchased a custom fit genuine sheepskin cover for it that is very comfortable. The car comes with a complete new manifold back exhaust system that the new owner can install. I can do it for an additional $100. The car starts, stops, shifts and steers as it is supposed to. The 4 speed with overdrive works perfectly. The carpets and headliner are perfect and the interior is very clean. There are no unusual smells and this car has not been smoked in.
The car is riding on a set of period correct 14" Enkei wire mesh wheels and Toyo tires. I have the original wheels and tires available for a additional $400.
All of the black window trim and lower body area has been repainted with the correct semi-gloss paint. The car is extremely solid but the original paint is a little tired. The car is very presentable as is or it would be a very easy repaint. This car needs nothing to be driven and enjoyed right now as I have been doing.
I just added a 1980 242 GT show car to my fleet so this one needs to go. Simply not enough garage space.
