Description
Up for sale is a 1983 Volvo 240 sedan. The car was professionally painted with all the trim removed (not just taped off) and the finish is in rather nice condition. There are a few very minor flaws. It has a brand new windshield. Front suspension parts were replaced. The interior was removed in order to repair the small rust holes in the floor. (see pics) The car will be supplied with an interior from a 1985 240 sedan. (Same color as the original, slightly different pattern) The car is clearly a project for someone with more time to complete it than I have. I will do my best to make sure everything that goes with the car is included. I also have a garage full of 30 years of accumulated parts. If you need anything for this or another project the winning bidder is welcome to anything that I don't need. When I bought the car it ran very well. It presently will not start after sitting. I believe that it needs a fuel pump.1983 was a unique year for the Volvo 240. It was the first full year for electronic fuel injection, It got the bigger 2.3 liter engine (B23), and it was the first year for the plastic bumper covers.
I'm starting the bidding at what I can get for scrap. I don't want to see it scrapped. This is a 32 year old car and I think it will be a good starting point for a project that will result in a nice driver. I just have too many other things to do and no time to complete this.
I can supply other pictures upon request.
Please any questions before bidding
Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding.
