1995/N VOLVO 850 T-5R AUTOMATIC ESTATE *Emerald Green Metallic* Only 500 Made ++

Here we have in our possession this fantastic ultra rare Volvo 850 T-5R Automatic Estate registered in 1995. This particular example was one of the 1st off the production line and built side by side with Porsche. It was based on the original 850 turbo but with a different ECU (Bosch) which produced more power and torque. The 850 T-5R had its engine, gearbox and other major components co-developed with Porsche who also designed most of the interior. It was obviously a worthy enough idea in the 1st instance for Porsche to get involved, this model produces 243 BHP at the front end and will shunt you from 0-60 mph in 6 seconds, that is when new of course and as standard. This example has had some subtle engine mods along the way but nothing too major, the original engine is still in place. It comes with 4 previous owners only from new which is also very rare at over 20 years old and has a full 12 months MOT. It comes in Emerald Green Metallic paint which was the rarest of the lot with just 500 made worldwide that is including the saloon. It is very original all-round, the only mods are under the bonnet. It has a full bodykit as standard and the original wheels have been painted black, I believe they were dark grey/anthracite originally. The car has covered approximately 182,000 miles which for its age is less than average. Cosmetically the car isn't immaculate or pristine so please do not expect it to be and is priced accordingly. It is very straight and level all the same and doesn't sport a tow-bar which is a huge bonus. Inside is a little tired, the black leather is well worn as expected but with time and effort could be transformed to its former glory and so could the rest of this Volvo. We are asking for very little when taking everything into account so please bare this in mind before making derogatory offers. Also I am no expert so please also bare this in mind. It has a sunroof which works and doesn't leak plus the seats are heated. Do they work still? I will double check. Mechanically what is it like? Well it starts on the button with no hesitation, pulls like a train with mega power, the gearbox is currently working fine and goes through all its gears fine with no clunks. The suspension is ok, the steering is positive and it went through an MOT just today. In the last 24 hours I have covered at least 100 miles in this car with nothing that has caused me any concern. I could go on forever but would much rather discuss the vehicle over the phone, to summarise, it starts and drives ok, the bodywork is straight with minor cosmetics, there are niggles consumerate with age which I will discuss in person for clarification. This Rare Volvo is not down and out, whether you want it to use everyday taking the family shopping and to school or you want it is a project, track car, van, whatever it is I am certain it will prove to be an absolute bargain in the long run.
