Volvo s40 R Design
2.0 Diesel
I have owned this vehicle for 4 years without any problems until now. Recently it had developed loss of power and judders at low revs. I took it to a local garage who said it was the injectors, I had these changed new at a cost of £85 each which did not resolve the issue. I was then told it was the crank shaft pick up ring, which I had replaced, again no joy. I was then told it was the EGR valve, honestly I think the guy had no clue, so I decided to take it elsewhere.
After taking the vehicle from the garage my clutch failed and now the car will not go into gear, I had it taken to the dealers who informed me that the clutch and fly wheel has gone and they would need to fix this issue before looking into the issue of loss of power. Being the dealership I did not want to spend a fortune, therefore i thought I would take it to a Volvo specialist so I drove the car home by pumping the clutch a few times which in turn allows it go into gear.
I am now selling this as I honestly do not have the energy and time to carry out the repairs hence the cheap price.
