Description
For sale is my 2003 Volvo S40 1.8s, she has covered just 64,212 miles, has 6 service stamps up until 27,250 miles and I have changed the oil and oil filter every six months whilst owning her. I have owned her since 23/08/2012, approximately 3 years 4 months, in which time I have covered about 14,000 miles. The MOT lasts until 20/08/2016 (10 months left) and I have the MOT's going back to 2007. I am selling her as I have started a new job in Brighton and won’t be able to drive her as I have no available parking, otherwise I would gladly keep her – she has never let me down!
Whilst owning her I have had two new front tyres fitted (Hankook) approximately 2 years ago, as well as fitting a K&N air filter, NGK Iridium spark plugs and a new cabin filter. The windscreen along with the wipers (and the headlight wipers) were replaced on 10/04/2014 due to a chip, I replaced the offside rear wheel hub in July 2015, and the SRS airbag control unit was replaced this year due to a fault it developed (I have kept the receipts).
The car is in excellent condition, especially considering she is over 12 years old, however the paint has the odd stone chip (I have a spray paint can for touch ups) and the alloys have the marks of rubbing a curb, but nothing that can’t be expected. She has a cream leather interior which is in excellent condition; the air conditioning works great as well. She has electric windows front and rear, electric door mirrors, front fog lights, alloy wheels and a rear spoiler.
As mentioned previously, the MOT was carried out in Aug 2015, a couple of minor advisories were picked up. Unfortunately, she picked up a small chip in the windscreen (only months after having a new one fitted) but this is outside the driver’s line of sight and so not an MOT failure. The other issues, all minor, were: near side lower suspension ball joint dust cover damaged, near side lower suspension arm slight play, rear brake disc slight scoring and wear on the rear tyres but still legal for many miles.
I have been as honest about the car as possible, she is a genuine car in excellent condition that has been looked after very well - this is a lot of car for the money!
