Description
After recently getting a new car I am selling my Volvo S60.
As with any 10 year old car that has done 163,000 miles, there are some little dents and scratches and alloys are scuffed.
A couple of months ago the soot filter full warning was activating so I took it to a garage, I explained that the car is using oil and needed topping up every few hundred miles. They told me that this happens with this age of car and had a look at the DPF. They said I needed to change the DPF and so I did in November.
It also had a new handbrake cable and rear brake discs, pads and shoes in July 2015. (the leather around the handbrake cable is a bit loose)
Interior is really quite good, the leather seats have wear and tear but no significant marks or any tears that I can see.
I changed the original Stereo and CD player with an Alpine CD/Radio/USB due to it trashing CDs I still have the old one, which I will leave in the boot, but I reckon it's trashed.
The rear suspension was replaced 2013.
This is the 3rd S60 D5 I have had an they are amazing cars that don't let you down. I haven't come across the oil issue before, but I have been told by a friend mechanic that it is found in this version, and doesn't harm the engine but could cost a couple of hundred quid to fix it for a mechanic plus parts. I haven't seen any performance issues nor significant fuel economy issues though.
Please contact me if you want any more information, and feel free to come and view/drive the car if you wish.
The Tax is up on the 31st December so I would like for it to be picked up before then please.
