Six speed manual. Sports edition with 185bhp (210bhp with Tunechip I hear)
Things I have changed on the car over and above what other car owners would do are as follows;
New turbo in Oct15 not refurb, Volvo fitted.
Michelin Primacy 3 235/50/18 tyres all round with 5mm left on rear and brand new on fronts. The best and quietest rain tyre for this car.
Had a few stone chips in the original windscreen so I had the screen replaced last year.
Had all four original alloys replaced because of poor condition. Apr15
Rear brakes and disks changed with a full under car check carried out in Nov 15. No leaks or problems with the underbody.
Serviced regularly by Volvo and local garage for continuity of knowing that my car is properly checked.
Mot early this year to ensure no other works are required than the next service and timing belt. When I dropped it off I told them to be ruthless on checking everything so that I could be sure what needed changing on it in the next few years. No one ever asks the MOT Station to do that!!
The clutch is still working but I have decided to get it changed along with the front disks and pads and timing belt. This is planned from next Thursday 24th to the Saturday 26th February.
If the car sells before then, there would be £1000 reduction in this price.
This car has been exceptional. Mine since Mar 2012 with the last 150k due to my commuting to Work on the motorway each day. I never keep a car longer than 2 years but this one is that good I couldn't match it anywhere else.
The reason I am now selling is because I need an estate version of it instead. To buy this car spec now is very expensive, in fact the D5 engine has become quite rare and this one still gives me 600 to 700 miles for the 70 litre tank. The onboard computer shows it to be 50 to 55 mpg but it always fibs..probably made by VW?? Who knows?
Things that aren't so good include;
Leather drivers seat looks a little tired
Rear bumper has small dents on it
Front bumper and bonnet has stone chips
Two trolley dents on drivers side
Front lower mesh has a small bit missing
Haven't found my next car yet, but anyone who wants a solid reliable comfortable cruiser for the next few years will not find another with this amount of TLC.
For the avoidance of doubt, the plate stays with the Car. The original 09 plates will be supplied in case you want to remove this private plate yourself as I kept them.
The car is for sale, not for parts. The price is £5500 with the next full service and clutch completed for you, but then the car is not available until Sunday 27th Feb.
You will look at the mileage and think that the car isn't going to last. I can show you the £10k of servicing costs this car has had from being with me over the last 4 years and tell you a different story. The photos were taken in 2013 when I thought I would change the car, but decided to keep it instead. Current condition not too dissimilar.
If you want to view the car then call me on 07514 747532 to arrange when and where???
