Description
I have for sale my Volvo V70 D5 which I have owned for over two years now. It has been a great reliable, comfortable car, and I'm only selling as I don't need a diesel anymore.
The car is showing 151000 miles, but the engine was replaced with a brand new one at 36000 miles under warranty, so the actual engine has only done 115000 miles. I have all the paperwork detailing the engine change.
It's an SE and comes fully loaded with heated leather seats (electric on the drivers side), climate control, cruise control and electric windows/mirrors. Everything works too!
The exterior is in good condition, with a few marks and scratches as to be expected on a 12 year old car. The wheels are all a bit kerbed, particularly on the nearside.
The interior is in very good condition, with only a small amount of wear on the drivers seat.
It has a full service history, and has mainly been serviced at Volvo main dealers or Volvo independent specialists. It has MOT until February 2016.
The following work has been carried out in my ownership:
- New front tyres
- New rear brake discs/pads
- New alternator
- New battery
- Cambelt done at 131k
There are a few small faults with the car:
- Clutch appears to be slipping a little in the higher gears. It only happens occasionally but would rather mention it than not! The clutch operates as it should, there's no juddering or nasty DMF noises.
- There is a messsage showing that the alarm system needs a service. This appears to be a common V70 problem whereby the alarm needs a new battery. It hasn't bothered me as it doesn't affect the central locking or starting the car.
- The car was last serviced in February but there is a message showing that it needs a service.
Overall a very nice car that drives very well and is very economical, especially for its size. Also with relatively low mileage - lots of 200k+ V70s out there.
