Volvo V90 INSCRIPTION station wagon - fully loaded - heated and cooled seats, double-pane insulated side window glass on ALL doors (most cars it’s only on the front), active curve bending full LED headlamps, huge glass moonroof, Apple CarPlay, et cetera. Too many features to list.
Volvo got an 18 Billion dollar ($18,000,000,000) cash infusion to develop this new platform and it truly is a world-class car. I work on cars for a living and I would put the overall build quality of this as being equal to BMW or Audi.
Genuine wood trim and every possible safety feature including HEADS UP DISPLAY- you can also turn them off individually. Every feature can be customized to a degree I have never seen before. It will even park and unpark itself.
It is quiet and fun to drive, and the handling is excellent. The T5 engine has 250 HP and this thing really does fly if you get into it. Plenty of power, even fully loaded. Plus a real spare tire with jack and tools - a rarity nowadays.
The optional T6 adds a supercharger with attendant increases in maintenance costs and higher underhood temperatures- not great for a long-lived engine. Stick with the T5 and you'll be fine. The 360 degree camera system shows EXACTLY how centered you are fore-and-aft in a parking space - helps you be considerate to other parkers.
You are getting maximum cargo versatility - TONS of space with the seat down, and a Volvo rubber mat plus one from a BedRug carpeted truck bedliner. For groceries it has the well-known Volvo grocery bag holder with elastic straps.
You also have a ski pass-through in the center armrest - great for rugs. The key system includes a “smart key” covered in the same leather as the interior - lock by touching any outer door handle. Unlocking? just grab a door handle and pull. It also has factory installed REMOTE START with unlimited range. The mirrors self-fold when locking.
With new cars having limited availability thanks to the IC chip shortage, used car prices are going up. This is a great family hauler. Ask yourself - do I really need all-wheel drive and raised suspension? Keep in mind with all-wheel drive there are COST, WEIGHT, FUEL ECONOMY and MAINTENANCE penalties, for a system with limited utility for most people.
When I first saw this black and brown interior I wasn’t sure about it but it has a very rich, interesting look. It grows on you and it’s neat not having the same old boring black or beige. Of course it has the famous Volvo front seats - designed by in-house orthopedic experts.
Excellent condition, super clean, just detailed, fresh synthetic oil change, new tires, new brakes, new wheels, (4) optional Volvo pop-in side sunshades (plus side window pull-up ones), new Volvo roof rack crossbars made by Thule for Volvo (redesigned by Volvo to be MUCH easier to put on), every possible option except the upgraded sound system - my brother had that in his XC90 and he says it’s not that great. I get 33 MPG on the highway with A/C on. The car also comes with an easy to install kit from SPACCER in Germany which increases the rear ride height 1 inch, if it’s important to you.
