Volvo xc70 D5 diesel geartronic
This car is only being changed as my wife mainly drives it and an occupation change means we don't need such a large car , or one with 4 wheel drive !
The car is / was cat c , the front bumper was damaged .we haven't changed it , as the damage is hardly noticeable ( however there is a replacement currently on e bay for around £ 300 - £ 400 for the whole thing correct colour too !) the other damage was a bump to the sump which creased it ,so that section was cut out and a new plate welded in professionally ( by an aeronautics company )
We've done thousands of miles since the repair and it doesn't miss a beat , strong engine and gearbox , usual full leather , heated front seats , all round electric windows etc etc .
It's had a recent service including oil change and transmission fluid , however is about 6000 miles away from timing belt change .
There is a small dent on one door ( dink) (see pic)
All in all , a lovely ,strong ,safe ,powerful car.Have tried to be as honest as possible iHad a question regarding the sump and whether any damage could have been done to engine .basically these engines have a sensor in the sump which cuts the engine if oil level gets too low so no chance of damage to engine even when sump is damaged .engine is in good order and pulls like a train no smoke , no problems .
