Volvo XC70 2002 SE D5 Auto (V70 4wd,SatNav/Heat+Leather/7 Seats/Phone/ISOFIX)

Reluctantly it is time to sell my Volvo 2002 XC70 SE D5 Geartronic auto.I'll try and cover all the details about the car in the next sections.It has covered 194000 miles and is in very good condition. It has thebest specification of any Volvo 02 I've seen when i was looking topurchase. It has the following options:

* Pop up satellite navigation screen, steering wheel controls
* Dashboard telephone (just insert a sim), steering wheel controls. Handset in centre console, and speaker in driver headrest
* Cruise control
* Full black leather, driver and passenger heated seats
* 2 extra seats in boot with seat belts, folds flat, factory fit
* Electric seats, driver has memory, links with which key opened the car. 4 independent controls per seat.

* HU 803 audio system with 4 CD multiplayer and dolby surround function

History

I've had this for 18 months or so, and had been used as a 2nd familycar and occasional commutes. My new job is walking distance so this caris now surplus. Due to it's practicality it is a hugely reluctant sale.It has history from the previous owners at the volvo owners forumssite. I've had servicing and work done by volvo specialists in MiltonKeynes, Romar service centre. It has had a new AC radiator and regas,steering joints, sat nav refurb, tracking, abs ring done. I've alsofitted Volvo ISOFIX brackets to the mount points on the rear seats.There are receipts and going back for myself and 2 previous owners, butthere service stamps in the book are almost complete. It has had a coreplug replacement common to volvo diesel engines, and also the timingbelts at that point. At around 140000 miles it has also had a newtransfer box fitted by a Volvo dealership. MOT is until Nov, tax untilNov. Neither myself or the previous owner has used it for towing.

The service is now due. I've not done this to allow the purchaserthe choice of Volvo main dealer, Volvo specialist or independent garage.I can arrange the service at cost.


Interior

Leather is in extremely good condition considering the age. The XCspecific stitching still looks great. No significant wear to any drivercontrols or passenger seating areas. There's a 5mm size hole on the foldout boot seats. There's a couple of marks on the door cards. Cupholderin central console is broken. A new leather gear gaiter is included but Ihaven't got round to installing, but I did install a new hand brakegaiter.

Electrics

All heating and cooling systems work great. I've had a new acradiator installed. 2 setting heated seats are great for winter. I'vehad the sat nav unit refurbished and now works fine, with the steeringwheel controls no need to find buttons on console. Passenger can use theremote control for navigation. Audio quality is excellent. Seat memorycan assign a memory setting to the key so when you unlock the car, theseat moves to your position. Park sensors work fine and can turned offby a switch in a boot. The TV receiver does try to pick up analoguesignal, but obviously doesn't work on freeview. Dashboard display isspot on. Follow me lights can be enabled after car has been switchedoff.

Drive

The 2.4 D5 engine is not the early euro 4 model that came in around2004, which is known for being less economical. This easily can return50mpg on journeys. The 5 speed gearbox is responsive and can becontrolled in manual mode and has a setting for winter use. Engineproduces enough power and feels faster than the 3 litre petrol in myother car. Awd system seems to work fine, rear wheels only come in ifslip is detected. No knocks or bangs and steering is tight. Tyres willneed replacing in the next year.

Exterior

There's a crack in one of the rear light clusters. a couple ofscratches along the side but no serious dents. Obviously this is a 10+year old car so will have marks consistent with its use, but itscondition is way better than its mileage suggests. There is no rust onthe body. One of the plastic trim sides by the windscreen has a fewmarks.
