Description
Now we are back from 2 weeks holiday in France time to let the trusty Volvo go. Behaved without fault driving some 1500 miles from Lancaster down to the Vondee and back.
Prior to our departure major service carried out to include new spark plugs, irredium, at £10 each x 5, fully synthetic oil, all filters, front brake pads etc.
We have owned the Volvo nearly 2 years and have covered close to 30,000 miles. LPG conversion was done as soon as we bought her by a local expert installer. It is a multi-point system(see pics for exact details) and has run without fault returning approx 40 mpg in real terms. You can get close to 300 miles from a fill of 73 litres costing around £43.
This is our 2nd XC90 but now the children are at senior school we do not need the 7 seats as they tend to be doing their own thing these days. We will be buying an XC70 as our next transport.
The towbar is genuine Volvo and was fitted by us to tow a Trailer tent for holidays. Tyres are all matching Pirrelli Rosso which are about half worn.
Last MOT had no advisory items. Service history is mostly main dealer up to 94,000 carried out by Yeovil Motor Co., in Somerset. Cam belt was changed at 77,000 miles.
All servicing since has been carried out by our local, very good, independant.
