1961 Austin Healey 3000

Very complete and original Healey project sold new in Montreal, I have the original Austin Warranty issued in August 1961. It was taken off the road in 1971 by the second owner who purchased it in 1964 and owned until this year. In 1967 the car had the rocker panels replaced and the lower fenders repaired for $143, it now needs most of the lower metal replaced: inner sills, floors,trunk floor and lower outer panels. The front shroud looks decent but the rear needs flange and edge repair. The hood, trunk lid, and right door are good while the left door needs some lower repair. The four fenders are usable with the usual lower repair panels. The frame appears solid but has surface rust and a split front cross member, in addition the right rear shock and mount were torn from the frame (see pic) which will require a repair to that area (probably why it was parked). The engine is free and was running until parked, the trans shifts through all gears but the hydraulics are gone. the front calipers were removed but included as are both rear shocks. The original top, tonneau cover, tonneau rail, and side screens in bag are included as is the factory hardtop (not purchesed with the car in'61) This car has never been messed with except for the 60's era bodywork and is otherwise as delivered unlike many project cars. The fuel tank is a BMC replacement with the part number still clear and legible. Both front seat pans have 90% of the factory paint and are not rusted and the rears appear intact. The door panels are removed but there, so the interior is very complete with all gauges and switches in place. I have many pictures and will be happy to take more if asked and answer all questions, this car is a project that I have described as best I can without a disassembly. The auction also includes the original drivers hand book and shop manual. Ontario and Quebec do not use titles but registrations, the car will be sold with a transferable registration and a bill of sale.
