For auction is a really cool looking Corvette Stingray I bought this car for my son a few months ago as his first car to play with.
He likes the car but he really wanted a camaro. We have now found what he wanted so this one must go.
1977 corvette Stingray targa top
Right hand drive. YES THATS CORRECT RHD, all ready converted
350 Chev. 4 bolt main block. Rebuilt not long before we bought it.
Turbo 350 gearbox. Just serviced
New exhaust system
New 750 DP Holley
Double barrel shot gun alloy scoop out the bonnet
New dizzy and leads
Billet belt pulleys
Reco alternator
Reco starter
Billet polished brake reservoir
Chrome covered radiator hoses
Big radiator
New Thermo fans and sender switch
New tappet covers
Polished timing cover
Polished intake manifold
Chrome winged sump
Seats recovered in black
New carpet
CD player
Near new tyres
New soft touch blue and white car cover
This car looks and sounds great, it has a really nice sound through the pipes and has plenty of grunt if you need to show off at the lights.
The paint is reasonable but for the fussy person it could do with a top coat, it has a few usual cracks in the paint on the front and rear clips as all corvettes get. Electric windows are a bit slow but do work, over all it's pretty good but like all early muscle cars, they can all do with some extra love, just depends on how fussy you are. It's just been in and had a new flex plate fitted and the starter reconditioned, along with the gearbox serviced. New Thermo switch fitted and new carbi fitted and tuned.
The right hand conversion was done in QLD in 2001 and can be registered in QLD straight away, just needs to do the normal Rego slip like any car.
To register the car in NSW it needs the engineers report done. This takes about 3 hours and $1250. I have the details of an engineer in sydney that does it, he needs about 2 weeks notice to get it done. Once the engineers cert is complete it goes through rego like any car.
This would suit someone that wants a nice weekend drive with the option to play with it to make it your own without spending huge $$. That usually means that you don't have to get a rid of the wife to get what you want.
For about $22000 you can be cruising in a new toy!
