1997 Lada Niva
1.7L fuel injected model
Later body style with large boot door
Interior in good condition
Solid body
Late model Niva with larger 1.7L engine. Fuel injected. 5 speed gearbox. This later body style also has the full length boot door, more comfortable front seats and the updated dashboard. There are a coupe of spots of rust (see pictures) but this is one of the best Niva shells I've seen.
The Niva has been unregistered for quite some time however it now has fitted:
New radiator New clutch master cylinderNew clutch slave cylinder New batteryNew heater coreNew in-tank fuel pumpNew ignition barrelNew window regulatorsReconditioned starter motor
There is a coolant leak from the rear of the water pump and all the coolant hoses are perished but don't leak. 4th gear synchro is worn, but works fine when double clutching.
The Niva starts without issue.
Brakes work.
Clutch works.
Tyres are very old, but the tubes still hold air.
The Niva could be happily driven on and off a trailer.
