Description
Triumph Dolomite Sprint Factory/Works rally car.
This car was purchased direct from the Abingdon"works" factory by a well known West Australian Rally competitor in 1978 who imported the car to Australia.
The car was one of 23 built and prepared by the factory for Tony Pond / Brian Culcheth and some leading factory supported teams.
It was fully seam welded , had a 4 link rear end by way of boxed provision in the rear floors , It had a full Cosworth prepared engine with 48mm Webers and a close ratio gearbox along with all other rally components such as roll cage rally seats , LSD , Koni susension , Halda etc etc.
The car is fully disassembled but appears to retain most or all of the original components and is the original body shell.
In Australia the car was sponsored by "Triumph W.A " and had some excellent results including ARC placings.
Its Australian history is well documented and the car is in remarkably good condition and is totally rust free.
It presents an excellent opportunity to purchase a genuine 70s international works rally car , that are now becoming sought after and valuable collector vehicles.
I believe all parts are are with the car to complete the restoration with many spares useful spares including engine components and "sprint" cylinder head and Koni suspension etc .
Inspection is welcomed by appointment . The car is located in Kinglake Victoria .
Inquiries please call Steve 0418 564 524.
