FOR SALE- Unfinished 1960 TR3 project. I bought this car as a unfinished project 7-8 years ago. The owner before me started the project in 1991 and did not finish it. Hopefully the next owner will be able to finish it. I set a fair reserve on this car, considering the amount of work and having it painted cost more than the reserve. If it does not meet reserve I will have to reconsider selling it.
All the metal repair work was done by a shop the previous owner had contracted, extensive repairs were done. The pictures with the body getting repaired are in a folder giving to me from the previous owner during the repairs.
All correct TR3 panels were used.
-Inner rockers replaced
-outer rockers replaced
-Drivers side floor replaced
-passenger side floor replaced
-There is two small patched in the spare tire well ( refer to pictured)
Plus a number of other repairs were done.
Engine was rebuilt with a “ Big Bore Kit” 87mm.
Transmission ( supposed to be rebuilt ) I never had it opened to confirm.
The car was fully painted in “ british racing green”
When I bought the car, I had the body fully removed and repainted “metallic silver” . The theme was a vintage rally racer . This TR3 looks beautiful in silver.
I was not going to install the front and rear bumpers ( looks much more like a vintage rally TR3 ) bumpers are included.
I had the sound proofing installed in the cabin for noise and to keep engine heat from intruding into the cabin
Lots of new parts installed-
-High torque starter
-New high quality TR3 brake lines
-Front seats have been redone a few years ago. There still in nice condition but a little storage rash.
-Front brake Calipers rebuilt ( new brake pads)
New clutch cylinders
New brake cylinders
Dashboard was redone in black
New Correct TR3 fuel tank + fuel lines + rebuilt fuel pump - plus many more, that I cant think of.
Work to be done ( theres still lots of items that need to be finished and I am sure I’m forgetting things )
-Front seats needs to be bolts
-Doors and fenders need to be bolted
-New Robbins convertible top needs to be installed
-front shocks needs to be installed
-exhaust system needs to be installed
-rear shocks need to be installed
-new TR3 wiring harness is almost installed but dashboard area needs attention
-door panels need to be redone
-Carpets need to be installed
-center vent needs to be installed
-windshield lower rubber trim needs to be installed
I have the owners original service booklet from the early 60’s . The mileage is correct with the miles on the speedometer ( see pictures above)
Lots of New parts in boxes-
Brand new robbing fabric convertible top ( black )
hardware
door seals
panels
5 steel wheel included
only have the 4 wire wheels that are installed on the car.
Ect
This is a good solid project with good potential with a lot of the hard work done.
Carburetors were rebuilt . Engine starts but needs carbs tuned . No clutch hydraulics or brakes are hooked up so IT IS NOT DRIVABLE . There is a few chips on paint from being in storage.
THIS IS A PROJECT, A UNFINISHED PROJECT.
Please ask any questions before bidding.
I will help anyway I can with shipping. Shipping costs are the buyers responsibility .
The shipping port will be Montreal, Quebec , Canada
