Description
For sale is a 1980 Triumph Spitfire. I just put over $1,500 in this to bring it back to daily-driver reliability, including a recent carb tune at a vintage British racecar shop. Upgrades include the following:
New poly bushings all around (minus a few around the differential)
New slotted/cross drilled rotors and ceramic pads (+15% more surface area than OEM)
New front struts
New front springs (-1" @ 330psi)
New door cards
New air filter
New aluminum tri-core radiator
New carb rebuild kit (and $$$ tune)
New front wheel bearings
Rebuilt front trunnions/bushings
New front ball joints
New trunk carpet/trim panel
+ a LOT of elbow grease and TLC
New reinforced rear leaf spring (NOT INSTALLED)
New soft top included and installed (but not set up for pics - but nothing wrong)
This spitfire runs better than new. It's currently registered as a collector car - which means no emissions here in Arizona. Nothing wrong w/ electronics as far as I've discovered. Nothing wrong mechanically (anymore) as far as I have discovered. I've taken many trips a5 75mph and zero problems. Ton of fun. Clean/Open title in hand. I've got almost 8k into this car now.
