Description
This 1979 Triumph Spitfire 1500 was built in October 1978 and acquired by the seller from a long-term owner in Orange County, CA in 2016.
The car came with S. California registration going back to June 1987 (Alhambra, CA). That said, this vehicle appears to be a dry California car showing little to no rust. Finished in Canary yellow (82) over a black/hounds-tooth interior, the car is powered by a 1.5-liter inline-four cylinder engine paired with four-speed manual transmission. It is equipped with a replacement soft top, new dash cover, updated stereo, fresh Weber carburetor and 13″ steel wheels.
The paint looks to be original as there are no signs of repaint overspray. The paint has been buffed/polished but does show signs of its age. The fuel pump was recently replaced as were the valve cover and oil pan gaskets.
The car comes with the original carburetor, new door window rubber and repair manuals.
The five-digit odometer shows 1675 miles. Total mileage is unknown.
