Description
For sale is a 1996 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE MK2. This was purchased by the current owner in 1976, driven into a garage (concrete floor), removed most of the exterior parts for a restoration and sat for the last 39 years. Car shows 57,752 on the odometer, I have no way to verify this as correct, although I suspect it is accurate and not turned over, due to only in service for 10 years in Wisconsin. There are 24 pictures to view and should explain what you need to know about the condition. I will say it appears to be very restorable, the floors are solid, front and rear, the cowl looks good, firewall good, the header bow is perfect and does not appear to have been in any accidents. There is some sort of fiberglass work in the trunk so this looks like the worst part in terms of restore. Both doors have issues, includes glass and did roll the drivers side up and down. Engine looks complete short the air cleaners, and does turn, not locked. Includes all the extra parts in the last picture, will be included as will the Autopress service manual show in the pictures. I have a clean 1973 Wisconsin title in hand ready for you to transfer. Having said this I am not an expert on these cars, have restored many domestic cars in the past, I am giving my opinion only. If you need to inspect this I can arrange this very easy. Phone number is 262-966-9879, ask for John. This is not for the faint of heart, know what you are getting into. I can assist in shipping but is up to you to pay and arrange this. If you have questions, ask before you bid, highest bidder is the owner, if you are new to Ebay check with me before you place your bid so I know you are serious. I require a $200 Paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction end, balance to paid in either cash or bank wire transfer, NO EXCEPTIONS ..Good Luck.Have Fun !
